At Dalraida UMC we believe that the youth are not only the future, but also the present of the church. Dalraida warmly welcomes children and youth of all ages into the life of the church. We offer exciting programs for them to learn about Jesus and apply what they learn.

We emphasize joy in learning, involvement, and fun as we help children and youth build an unshakable faith in Jesus Christ in a safe, affirming, and nurturing environment. Lifetime learning is important; at Dalraida we make it a priority to engage families in partnership to continue the youth’s faith development at home.  We are lead by a youth director and a wonderful group of volunteers. Without our volunteers and their great support we could not provide the ministry that we do.

United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) is open to all youth in grades 6-12.  Our youth group is diverse, and is open and welcoming to newcomers.  Youth fellowship is fun and focuses on helping youth develop a strong relationship with Jesus Christ while promoting safe, healthy and meaningful Christian fellowship with other youth. We meet every Sunday from 5pm till 7pm for food, followed by devotion or lesson time with free time to hang out after.

Confirmation - Generally designed or youth in grades 6 to 12. Confirmation training begins in September with Sunday School participation, moves into structured classes in February and concludes with a Confirmation graduation and formal ceremony in May.  This schedule is subject to change. The training process involves parents, mentors and confirmands as youth embark upon this important journey of faith.
  
Activities and Recreation - Youth enjoy age-appropriate Field Trips, Hayrides, Lock-ins, Bowling, Pizza Parties, Movie Outings, Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee at ASF, Fall Festivals, small group studies with  mixed ages, pool parties, Wednesday night EMERGE and participation with other UMC churches. Senior high youth are encourged to attend the Student Leadership Institute each year at Huntingdon College. We also have an active Dance/Drama Team and a great Praise and Worship band PULSE.

Retreats - Youth are encouraged and supported in their Christian journey.  Our youth often partner with youth from other United Methodist churches for such events as District events, Winter Retreat, Youth Week, Back to School Retreats, and MYF. 

Mission Work - Our Youth, every year take a summer mission trip in the United States. It is a mixed age trip that welcomes all from age 13-18. You must complete confirmation and be in the youth group one year before you can go on your first trip. We also do local work within the church during the summer. These days are called MISSION MONDAYS. We also work Wednesday night suppers throughout the year to raise money for our mission trip and to support the church and its projects. We participate in yearly events such as; 30HOURFAMINE and SOUPer Bowl of Caring.
